Who are the volunteers on the church bus?
Every volunteer is a faithful, background checked member of Heritage Baptist Church with a heart for working with kids in northeast Kansas.
How much does it cost to ride on the church bus?
It doesn’t cost anything. It’s a free program provided by Heritage Baptist Church.
How old does my child have to be to ride on the church bus?
Children must be at least 3 years old to ride on the bus unless accompanied by a parent.
Why does Heritage Baptist Church run buses?
Our mission is to help young people follow Jesus as we seek to make an impact in Northeast Kansas through the Gospel.
How do I sign up my child to ride the bus?
You can sign up your child by contacting us using the link below. Once you’ve filled out a permission slip, one of our church bus volunteers will reach out to you about getting your child added to the bus pick up list.
History
Since 1992, our bus routes have run up and down the streets of northeast Kansas every Sunday morning, bringing in hundreds of thousands of riders. We have seen thousands of lives changed, and countless families helped.
Our purpose is to share the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ and provide a safe and exciting environment to learn life lessons from the Word of God. We understand that many people, especially children, are unable to attend church every Sunday without a Bus ministry. This is why we devote our time, volunteers and resources to this great ministry! In addition to food and a fun program on the bus, we offer Sunday School classes for every age group, with trained teachers who address the specific needs and struggles of their class. Jump on the bus this Sunday!
Once at the church, your kids will attend a children’s Sunday school class where they will be engaged with songs, games, and a Bible lesson. After class, the kids route will take your children home on the bus, walk them to the front door, and drop them off with a parent.
